I’m taking a hard look at the Warriors Adventure Game, a tabletop pen-and-paper role-playing game published in 2009.

I’m confuzzled. Plz make more vids like this. I am Silverleaf, a tortishell cat of Thunderclan.
When you want to play this game but none of your friends know what warrior cats is and would think it’s lame if they did: well heck
How can we get the book you’re showing on screen?
me and an old friend of mine from middle school made a warrior cats book club for our schools library. They had a copy of the adventure game. We tried to figure out how to play it with the help of the librarians. We played the game once, and i don't even think we did it right. If I recall I was also the DM and wasn't good at reading through everything thanks to reading being rather tough. ^^'
is this a different version of DnD based on the world or warriors? because all my friends like DnD but only one of my friends read Warriors.
I tried to play this once, I failed miserably because I’m not going to print out 47 pages of rules
great I got every thing.
”…and a group of friends.”
I seriously didn't know that it was revived! That's cool! I just wanted to play it with my friends.
I used to play the Warrior Cats Adventure Game adventures with my dad lol.. it was just the two of us, so I acted as the narrator but also played a character to help balance things out. I believe that my warrior's name was Cloudyfoot, and his was Flippertail.. lol. Oh and by the way, my dad had basically no idea what a warrior cat even was. As far as I know, he's never read the books. Like, at all. I would continue playing the Warriors Adventure Game, if I had any friends to play it with.
Papers✓ Pencils✓ Good Imagination✓ and Friends? Dang it I need friends
This sounds like dnd, but warrior cats.
I like it.
Thank you for giving me an insight in this interesting game. I read the rules and soon want to try it out with my friends. I found some of the official Adventures, but I wonder if there are fan creations too, and where to find them. I bet the community has come up with some pretty good adventures themself.
I am learning this so I can run it for my daughter. The issues you talk about with the stats and chips. Could that be solved by rolling 1d4 and adding it to the total? You could keep the chips and use them to increase the total instead. For example if I use bite and my Skill is 1 and my strength is 1 my total is 2. The target number is 4 and I roll 1d4 with a result of 1. 2+1=3 so I can't succeed but I can spend a chip to bring my total to 4.
I am only just reading it so if this makes no sense just let me know.
I really want to play this but that would require me to have 1. friends who 2. are interested in Warrior Cats AND 3. are willing to learn how to play a tabletop RPG they've never played before.
I think if I were to play it I'd modify the rules a bit. The combat system in particular seems frustrating.
Someone needs to make an online version of this for people who have no friends
who read warriors
so basically when playing…because i want to play…you could jus add dice and nix the chips right?
In the pdf, I can’t find the character sheets so that’s another issue
is there like a discord I can join to play this game?? I don't have any friends :/
I want to play so bad, but none of my friends are very big warriors fans and read then when were younger ;-;
i always really wanted to play this one. never had a chance though 🙁
Where can you get an actual book copy of the rule book? Like the one you showed in the beginning of the video. Is it on Amazon orrr?
Pretty much agree with everything in this video… which is why I changed the rules for when I play with my friends. Adding dice rolling (and changing the target values of the checks to reflect that) was the very first thing I did. When I made new stat blocks for the enemies though, I way underestimated the party’s capabilities, and they destroyed a badger before two full rounds of combat were over, lol
Its Warriors DnD LOL
i only have one friend that reads warrior
Were can I find it?
You should make cattails, warriors untold tales, and warrior cats Allegiances a app also. I would buy it for myself if it was costing money.also would be easier for others and for me because I don’t have a computer.
Really admire your work, I only watch your videos and can’t play your games, hope this comes a reality!
friends? sad, i don't have one. guess my chances of playing tabletop games are ruined. byebye adventure game.
'dragonlance and D&D' I mean, I suppose that isn't wrong
(for those who haven't thrown away their lives and dedicated themselves to D&D meta lore like I have, dragonlance is a D&D campaign setting)
also, can I say it's cool that they released this during a time when tabletops weren't crazy popular anymore, and before the big resurgence?
warriors adventure game 2e when
so its basically dungeons and dragons with warriorrs?
Of you had discord we can play ❤ together
OMYGOSH I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THIS!
I want to run this and modify it so that I can fix the issues with it, particularly with combat
It's great to see someone talking about Warriors Adventure Game! I love playing it!… Alone… Because I have no friends.
Being a person how runs a campaign in D&D with my brothers and has changed a few rules to make it more easier for my brothers to play, I think I could find a way to make the attacking system for this game work. Though I must read through the game manual now luckily it is way shorter then the DM manual.
I always wanted to play this but I was alone in the warriors fandom haha. It also didn't help that it was seemingly less popular in the UK at the time that I wanted friends in the fandom
You should get a couple friends together and live stream a session, maybe even make it into a series.
I remember this game, I used to love it back in middle school! It's the game that first got me into tabletop games. Unfortunately, I never had anyone to play it with, so I had campaigns of one where I made my own cat and played the adventures alone, following all the rules, and adding to the text depending on what my cat did. It was fun back then, but I still have the same problem. :/
I love tabletop games, but every time I've tried to play in an ongoing campaign, online or offline, we only ever get through one or two sessions before it just dies off and nobody talks to anyone else in the group about the game ever again, even if we still talk and hang out otherwise. It's like a curse or something.
If I ever do decide to play this, i'd probably tweak and redo it a little so that there's dice instead of ability chips.
I see it much harder to do basically anything using chips that you have very few of.
Wait, so it's DnD but with cats??
Huh. I need this now, and I need friends who read Warriors cats irl. SCREECHES
its time to play "what flaws does this game have that can easily be fixed with homebrew:tm:"
Your videos are super fun, cute, informative, and charming. Really enjoyed this ^^
Yes I love the warrior's cats
For me the main problem is that most of the checks are HUGE,
So its dungeons and dragons. but for warriors……. wow….DND IS BETTER
