Description:

True to the fiction in every respect, this is the game based on the Superman universe that fans have been anticipating for decades. From excited citizens to the traffic on the streets, every detail of this vibrant city has a mind of its own. These 80 square miles are brought to life for the first time in a videogame. Go anywhere and do anything in Metropolis as Superman. Non-linear gameplay allows you to explore and play the game exactly how you want to at your own pace. Where and how you fly – to the top of skyscrapers, dodging elevated trains – is completely up to you, since gameplay is designed as a true open world experience. With notorious villains like Metallo and colossal challenges only Superman can overcome, you must navigate the Man of Steel to monitor and protect Metropolis from destruction. Three distinct types of gameplay — Flying, Rescue, and Combat — will keep the action constant and the challenges relentless. Play both film-inspired missions as well as original content created exclusively for the videogame. Graphics, sound, and gameplay have been taken to the next level to create a Metropolis like you’ve never seen it, with three dimensional sound, a complete orchestra soundtrack, and Oscar-wining sound designer.

  1. I hate the way the cape moves on the Xbox version, like look at the way it flaps in the air, it’s just bad

  2. Despite this game not reaching its full potential it's clearly the best Superman game. Say what you will about this game when it will always be better than Superman 64

  4. Son: A Meteor Shower is heading towards Metropolis! Well Superman is up for action. The Kryptonian has Super Powers. One of them is Flight… Defying Earth Gravity. Also can Power Launch with having Super Flight. Kal-El has Super Senses/Super Hearing. Super Vision having to destroy the Meteor. Heat Vision enabling to Strike at a distance. Super Breath is blowing out a Building Fire.

  5. I used to play this game while I was in college. Every time I was flying around Metropolis like a speeding bullet, I would often think of the quote from The Top Gun movie with Tom Cruise. "I feel the need……The NEED FOR SPEED!!!".

  6. I think a good superman game would be him losing his powers due to a krypto meteorites and slowly gain it back. hence the Xp gain and maybe travel the galaxy who knows?

  7. The controls and mechanics for this game were IMO pretty good. If Rocksteady could capitalize on that, they could make a killer Superman game thay we've been needing for so long

  8. I had this game growing up. Loved it tons, but didn't like the collateral damage health. Overtime I kicked ass with little damage(except for the invasion of course)

  10. I don’t care what you say
Yes I believe superman games are absolute, grade A SHITE! But this game on 360 was so much fun and is really probably the best superman game/ or least worst on how you put it, but for the satisfaction of making you feel like a god was so fun and how you could pick everything up, fly at super speed and contain so many elemental powers was the best shit, a lot of superhero games are AMAZING but it can be hard to capture that feel of being god in some games, that’s why superman games have mainly been crap because it’s so hard to create a game on how it feels to be him, but this is the closest we’ve ever come to feeling like superman and shadow of apokolips succeeds with that. If there was only a storyline and if this map was rendered like for example Spider-Man PS4 then you will have a fantastic NOT just superman game but a great SUPERHERO game ever made!
